Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration

Our Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration section provides comprehensive services to individuals, corporate fiduciaries, creditors, and charities in the areas of:

  • Estate Planning, including the drafting and coordination of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, beneficiary designation forms, lifetime giving and charitable planning.

  • Probate, including representing executors, beneficiaries, charities, and heirs in the probate of wills, the administration of estates, and heirship determinations.

  • Trust administration, including advising individual and corporate trustees of their fiduciary duties, and the preparation of trust accountings and beneficiary communications.

  • Probate litigation, including will contests, disputes involving beneficiary designations, and creditor claims.

  • Trust and fiduciary litigation, including the judicial discharge of executors and trustees, judicial modification and termination of trusts, accounting demands and accounting preparation, removal of trustees and appointment of successor trustees, removal of agents serving under power of attorney, and representing trustees, agents and beneficiaries involved in breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with inheritance rights, and related lawsuits.

  • Guardianships of minors and incapacitated adults, including the creation of guardianships of the person and estate, court-created management trusts and guardianship litigation.

The Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration section is lead by T. Aaron Dobbs who is board certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
